Catchin up

Can't believe it's been so long since my last post! It's full summer here now, and that last view from my kitchen window is completely different now. The garden is at least 4 ft. tall overall, mostly overgrown with phlox and daylilies. No matter how diligent I was at the start, thinning and adding mulch, it still ended up overgrown. A product of too much shade and very well fed soil.

Easter

The view from my kitchen window on Easter! Note the tulips growing outside in my flower bed, and the lack of snow!

Getting back to work!

I see it's been months since I've posted here! Doing Prince shows took up most of my December, and then traveling by RV in Florida took up most of January and February. Florida State Parks are amazing! But, time to get back to work. I took my sewing machine, serger & fabric with me on our trip and never even got them out!

I have a thing for visiting World's Largest roadside attractions and did manage to see a few down South. If it hadn't been so cold and windy I might have climbed up in this rocking chair! World's Largest Rocking Chair, Gulfport MS. 35 ft. tall

There's some wacky s**t out there!

By train at first, while they were still functioning. Then a ride here and there, when people still had gasoline. Then walking... walking and hiding when she had to.

She headed for her sister's house. Apparently they had survived for a while after the pandemic. The windows had been fenced off - to protect against marauders?

Now the windows were gone, the roof was going.

Mostly she traveled alone. Sometimes with other lost and wandering souls. After the pandemic, when the U.S. became wild and fractured, there were lots of wanderers. People looking for family, or running the other way. Dangerous to have a truck when everyone would do anything to have one.

So many roaming the countryside looking for a safe haven. All she knew to do was to try to head for home and hope that her family had somehow survived.

Vintage leather jackets

I've found so many fabulous vintage leather jackets in the last month! Four or 5 of them are Berman's leather jackets from the 1980's. Just had a photo shoot with my gorgeous model who showed up with a way cool new hairstyle. What d'ya think?

Wild leggings

Finished creating the wild black & lime green leggings yesterday! The black straps just above the knee took a little while, as I made them from scratch with faux leather tabs on the ends. I used 2 kinds of vintage buckles.

They turned out pretty BA! Now to get some pics of them to post.
